YOUP® Shelter at Franciscus Gasthuis – Functional bicycle shelter with style
Street-Stuff has realised a smart and stylish solution at the Franciscus Gasthuis in Rotterdam: the placement of a YOUP® Shelter, directly on the existing bicycle racks. This canopy forms an integrated whole that perfectly matches the wishes of the location and its visitors.
In a place like a hospital, everything revolves around accessibility and convenience. Visitors and employees are often present for a short time – for an appointment, a visit or a service. A well-organized and accessible bicycle shed is essential. By installing the Youp, we ensure a comfortable, clear and dry place to park bicycles, without the site losing its openness or appearance.
The Youp canopy is designed with a robust steel frame and a transparent roof, which ensures a light and modern appearance. Because it is placed directly above the racks, a compact and efficient solution is created that blends in completely with the surroundings. The design is low-maintenance, weather-resistant and sustainable – ideal for locations with a high user density.
What makes this project special is the way in which functionality and aesthetics come together. The canopy offers protection against the elements and makes the bicycle shed a clearly recognisable place. In this way, the whole contributes to the accessibility and the experience of the hospital grounds.
We are proud of this project and the collaboration with the Franciscus Gasthuis. The Youp shows how smart outdoor design can make a big difference – both practically and visually.
